Our second fairy captured on film in the Spring at Kathy Brown’s Garden, was Kyla. This is a fairy who is fleet of foot, so Jo was kept on her toes as she followed her with the camera through the fairy garden! She was also very good at swinging and her floral headdress flew off mid air as if it had a life of its own!
It was unseasonably cold in the fairy garden in late May and during Kyla’s photoshoot the sky turned dark and the heavens opened in a downpour. Our little fairy was not fazed in the least, waiting patiently in the summerhouse, wrapped in a blanket, she played with the paper butterflies. When the showers had passed, she skipped back out onto the rain fresh lawn and, twirling her fairy wand, brought back the sunshine!
All the Fairy Godmothers are excited about returning to this special private garden in Stevington for our event, Summer Fairies in the Garden on 31st July 2015. Kathy Brown has created such a beautiful garden, perfect for this kind of photography. Creating beautiful artwork for your walls is easy with this setting as a back drop!
More details about this event can be found on our last blog post, “The Lilac Fairy” and on the bookings page. Both the Lilac Fairy and the Poppy Fairy were captured on the same morning, in the same location. We will use other areas of the garden, according to the season, to take advantage of the different blooms. In July, we are particularly looking forward to utilising the wildflower meadow.
